Founder and CEO
Dr. Thomas Sy is an award-winning scholar, teacher, and consultant. He is on the faculty of the Department of Psychology at the University of California where he teaches and conducts research on leadership, teams, unconscious biases, and diversity.
His research has been published in a variety of top outlets, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Vocational Behavior, as well as appearing in popular media such as National Public Radio, London Times, Washington Post, and among others.
In addition to his research and teaching, Dr. Sy provides consulting, training, and coaching services in the industry. He is Founder and CEO of MindTAPP, a tech startup developing solutions for cultivating inclusive minds and leadership.
He has served a variety of client organizations, including General Motors, Google, Zappos, Los Angeles County, Northrop Grumman, Salvation Army, EDS, Ford, Southern California Edison, Waste Management, Johnson & Johnson, Boeing, IBM, General Electric, U.S. Army Research Institute, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the United States Marine Corps Special Operations Command.
Dr. Sy completed his Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan. He was formerly an advisor with a top-tier global management consultancy, specializing in corporate strategy and operations. Dr. Sy has also served in the U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Beret).
Cannon Lawrence Wu is the Product Manager at MindTAPP. Alongside his studies, he conducts empirical research examining implicit mindsets and cognitive training. Outside of his interests in software development, he enjoys creative writing.
Sherwin Sahebi is a Frontend Developer for MindTApp. When he isn't working on MindTApp, he can be found investing in stocks and watching the Lakers play.
Shaheriar Malik is a Frontend Developer at MindTApp. Having a passion for creativity, he takes great pleasure in tinkering with electronics and building projects that also serve practically.
Alex Coats is a game developer working on brain games in MindTApp. He enjoys experimenting with miscellaneous coding projects and learning more about software development.
Ryan Giron is a developer at MindTApp. He has a passion for Technology and learning which is why he became a Software Developer and is always looking for new ways to use his talents and skills. In his free time he enjoys playing video games such as Valorant, The Binding of Issac, Fall Guys, and Call of Duty
Ayush Nabar is one of the developers of MindTApp. In his free time, Ayush enjoys exercising and playing sports, gaming, and practicing calligraphy.
Alex Leung is the Product Lead of MindTAPP. He is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of California, researching leadership, followership, self-fulfilling prophecy, evaluative conditioning, and well-being.
Alex's research is published in a variety of scientific outlets. He has worked with a variety of organizations such as Facebook, Zappos, U.S. Army, U.S. Strategic Command, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and U.S. Army Research Institute.
He has also worked at State Farm and LeaderAMP as an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist.
Project Team Lead
Julian Beaulieu is the Project Team Lead of MindTApp. Having moved to the US from Germany, Julian's research involves time series data classification. When he isn't working on MindTApp, he can be found building apps or taking things apart and building new things out of them.
Mohamed Rayyan is a Backend Developer at MindTAPP.
Kashyap Panda is a Game Developer at MindTapp. In his free time, he enjoys tinkering with hardware, writing iOS apps, and playing Pokémon.
Gellert Li is a front end developer at MindTApp. With his many years of experience in developing mobile and web applications, he can create the best product in a team environment.
Evan is a front-end engineer/developer at MindTApp. Evan enjoys creating impractical gag projects for his own enjoyment and occasionally working on other (more meaningful) side projects in his free time. When he is away from his computer, Evan likes to ride his longboard and exercise with calisthenics.
Aramis Masarati is one of the game developers for MindTApp. He has loved video games when growing up and has a passion for game development. In the future, he would love to work in the gaming industry to help to program and create videos.
Monika Bradley is a UI designer at MindTApp. While she has a background in Computer Science, her passion has always been art. She enjoys being part of a design team for game development.
